\nThe Paseo del Borne street is the centre and therefore a very practical point of reference for an extensive shopping tour. In recent years, this has become the island’s finest shopping street. Brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera, Relojeria Alemana and Mulberry are based here, as well as Store Rialto Living, a concept known far beyond Spain’s borders, and SLUIZ, an Ibiza-based brand.
\nRight next to the “Born”, formerly a harbour for Palma’s small fishing boats, the Avenida Jaime III follows, where famous shops such as Cartier, Custo Barcelona, Loewe and Petit Bateau can be found. The department store Corte Ingl\u00e9s is also represented here with a branch. The large branch of the well-known chain is located on the Avda. de Alexandre Rosell\u00f3, possibly a good shelter in case of heavy rainfall. Another alternative for rainy days is the new shopping mall “Fan Mallorca” in Coll d’ en Rabassa at the gates of Palma or the shopping mall “Porto Pi” at the end of Palma’s Paseo Maritimo.
\nThe Olivar market, near the Palma train station, has been newly renovated and is probably the most famous and largest market hall in Mallorca. Despite the great crowds and the tourist activity, he has not lost the typical atmosphere of the market hall. Thousands of different smells and tastes of spices, fish, fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese and olives stimulate the sensory organs and stimulate the appetite. Those who would like to taste the food immediately should visit one of the restaurants, which offer a glass of good Cava or Cerveza, as well as wonderful tapas and typical dishes.
\nIt becomes exciting and unconventional in Palma quarter Santa Catalina. It is especially loved by students and is famous for its small and authentic market hall and the many restaurants and bars. The streets that branch off from the market hall are flanked by friendly shops, small bars and relaxed, innovative gastronomic concepts. Several very good smoothie bars can also be found there. Absolutely recommendable is the restaurant PATRON LUNARES in the evening and here you can order the guacamole for self-punching.
