Olympic participant and World Cup winner David Muntaner operates a special bike shop in Alaro, ca. 25 kilometres northeast of Palma de Mallorca (near Orient or Soller). This shop is as unique and authentic as the island of Mallorca itself. In addition to the goal of uniting a bicycle shop and a café under one roof, Cycling Planet also has the goal of achieving sustainable economic efficiency and reducing the use of “new” materials. This is e. g. by using recycled wood from the Velodrome in Palma de Mallorca, which was renovated in 2007. Since summer 2017, the former champion has also been working with eBike-Mallorca. An eBike rental in the style of a walk-in store has been integrated into the shop of the champion. The eBike types “relaxed” and “sporty” are available for spontaneous rental in his shop. Alaro is an ideal starting point for an eBike tour to Orient, via the Coll d`Honour, down to Bunyola, back to Santa Maria and back to the starting point in Alaro (approx. 37 Km and 600Hm). Bookings are only accepted by telephone or can be made on site.
