Geographically, Sineu is situated in the centre of Mallorca. The hilly landscape and fertility of this area almost reminds a little of the beautiful landscape of Tuscany. From Alcudia or Playa de Muro and Can Picafort you can easily reach Muro on one of the lightly trafficked roads. From Muro you follow the route towards Llubi and to Llubi you follow the typical stone walls towards Sineu. To the right and left of the small street there are picturesque and very well-kept almond plantations and olive groves. If you reach Sineu on a Wednesday, you might be surprised about a big spectacle in the otherwise quiet place. Sineu’s famous market is known as the best market on the island. In addition to fruit, vegetables and handicrafts, there is an interesting cattle market with pigs, feather cattle, donkeys and dogs.
On calmer days you will surely get a seat in one of the oldest restaurants in Mallorca, Celler antic Son Toreo. Majorcan dishes are served here and prepared in a traditional way.
If you like a sensational pizza, you have to visit the Pizzeria Santapi in Sineu. In the wood-burning oven, an exceptionally good pizza is served here.
We recommend the way back via Sant Joan, Maria, Muro and then Playa de Muro.
